Madrasah Tsanawiyah As-Sholihen is a private school located in Genteng Hamlet, Batukerbuy Village, Pasean District, Pamekasan Regency. This school is one of the Islamic-based junior high schools. Although it has implemented moral education for its students, initial observations show that there are still various behavioral problems in this school. Many students do not comply with school rules, such as clothing regulations, communication among friends, intimidation, and frequent lateness to school. This study focuses on (1) the guidance methods used by religious teachers in forming students’ akhlak at MTs As-Sholihen, and (2) how the implementation of these guidance methods is carried out. Using a phenomenological qualitative approach, data were obtained from the principal, religious teachers, and students through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted interactively through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions/verification. The validity of the data was ensured through continuous observation, peer checking, and data source triangulation. The results of the study show that (1) the guidance methods used by religious teachers include individual and group guidance, and (2) their implementation is carried out through stages such as individual and group problem disclosure, as well as problem solving. The purpose of this method is to help students solve problems and develop good moral character.Downloads
